Ah, let her have her green and brown room. Honestly, those colors sound really nice and I bet the room would be lovely. I had a friend who painted her girls rooms in neon-bubble-gum colors! It was a lot of fun and the kids were thrilled.
People tend to worry about "resale," and, given that we are looking to put our house on the market within the next year, perhaps black and orange aren't the wisest of colors. But, yaknow, a good primer base can fix that up in no time!
