In addition to the plethora of data that she presents, there are a number of interesting rebuttal comments from Christians and non-Christians alike. I admire the time and effort she poured into both the posts and her answers to readers' comments. You will also see why I stick to writing humor - with only occassional and non-controversial diversion. Speaking of humor... On our way out of the church on Sunday, Chuck pointed to a late-model Infinity and said, "Look at that license plate." The plate read, "GR8 HBY." "Hmmm. g r e a t h o b b y," I read slowly. "No. Not great hobby." "Oh! Hubby? Okay, I wondered what sort of person would consider a late-model Infinity a hobby car." "Dad," piped Alex, "who has a license plate that says 'great hubby'?" Before Chuck could answer I interjected, "Just some guy who thinks he's a great hubby, Alex." "No! Not some guy!" protested Chuck. "Sorry, sweetie." I'm ashamed of myself, that it never occurred to me that a woman would display a GR8 HBY plate on her new car! I might as well have forgotten our wedding anniversary, or called him by my ex-boyfriend's name. |
