Are you on a tight budget? How do you save big bucks at the grocery store?
I recently read a nifty little book called "The Ultimate Cheapskate's Road Map to True Riches," by Jeff Yeager. He appeared on the Today show in a cheapskate smackdown with Stephanie Nelson of The Coupon Mom.
I don't know about you, but I tend towards Jeff's more spontaneous approach. I've tried the coupon thing and found that I'm just a little too disorganized to make it work. Plus, I asked my boys, and they said they'd rather shop with Jeff at the dollar store for hot dogs and sausages than get a bunch of Total cereal and asparagus with Stephanie.
I'll bet Stephanie is also into scrap-booking and has bound back issues of Martha Stewart's Living magazine in her library. Would Jeff blow his cash on that stuff? I think not.
Come to think of it, my makeup, hair and wardrobe are closer to Jeff's, too.
